Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time since I’ve posted – between the holidays, daily craziness, and a broken computer I left the blog world for a bit, but I am now back with lots to write about, and a new computer!
The holidays were hectic, but wonderful. Our baby girl is now 8 months old (and almost crawling!), Charger is still doing great at work (possible updates coming soon!), and I am officially part of the 30 club! Life has just continued to move forward at a super fast pace, but I honestly wouldn’t want it any other way.
I have learned a lot about myself over the past few months. I learned that I was letting a lot of outside factors influence me, which was resulting in a lot of resentment and unhappiness. I finally had a long talk with Charger about the things I need to be happier – and it has made such a huge difference. Charger and I have been communicating more about what each of us needs. I needed a little more time away from the baby and he needed a little more time to himself as well. I have started to nag less and he has offered to change more diapers – it’s really been wonderful.
I also decided to apply to some online teaching positions and am happy to report that I will be re-joining the work force as a part time virtual Social Studies teacher. The position is perfect – as it is flexible and allows me to work before the baby gets up, when she naps, or after she goes to bed at night – it’s perfect! I attended the training last week and should begin to teach within the next few weeks.
I also feel like I am finally in the right state of mind to start to write about current happenings in the police world (and world in general) again. Specifically, I have quite a lot to say about the “formation” business from the SuperBowl. Although, you will see many different aspects of life discussed on this blog from views of a police wife, a mother of an 8 month old, and a 30 year old just trying to make the best out of life!
